The tremendous far-reaching mission of the Cromwell Center – to ensure that all people, regardless of their disability, receive the respect, dignity and inclusion that they deserve – continues to be the centerpiece of an enduring legacy that truly lifts the human spirit. And all of us are forever thankful for the myriad educational programs initiated and championed by the Center.
- U.S. Senator Olympia J. Snowe

Mission and Theory of Change

Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.
Winston Churchill

The Cromwell Center for Disabilities Awareness was founded in 2003 to  help ensure that people with all kinds of disabilities - learning, behavioral, developmental, and physical - receive the same respect, acceptance, and opportunity to which every person is entitled.

We are an innovative leader in disabilities awareness education programs and training for students, educators, and in workplaces. We do not teach about particular disabilities, conduct "show and tell" or simulations, or focus on one kind of disability. Instead, we change attitudes.

The target populations for our programs are people without disabilities. The beneficiaries are all people, with and without disabilities. The  Cromwell Method forms the basis for all our programs, which can be implemented anywhere in the world.
