Juliana L’Heureux assumed the position of executive director of the Center in April, 2011.  Her experience in non-profit management and health care administration includes creating charitable and educational foundations as well as fund raising for community based charities. She is a registered nurse and health care administrator. Most recently, Julie was executive director of the Maine Association of Mental Health Services, a public policy and advocacy group for mental health providers.

Julie has published in her field and enjoys free-lance writing. For many years she has contributed a weekly column covering Franco-American culture and stories to the Portland Press Herald.

Julie is a native of Baltimore, Maryland. She is an undergraduate alumna of the University of Southern Maine in  Portland, Maine and received her graduate degree in Health Care Administration from St. Joseph’s College in Standish, ME. She and her husband Richard live in Topsham, Maine, with their puppy, Flopsy.
